Privacy Policy

The short version

Your sets, pads and audio files live on your device. They are not sent to us, and there is no server that could receive them. We do not ask you to sign in, because there is nothing to sign in to.

What we do not collect

• No name, email address or account of any kind
• No audio files, set names, pad labels or venue lines
• No advertising identifiers, and no advertising
• No location data
• No contacts, photos, calendars or health data

In App Store terms, VisualGIG is a Data Not Collected app.

What stays on your device

Audio you import is copied into the app’s own storage. Sets, pad labels, colours and layout are stored alongside it. All of it is included in your iPhone backup, and all of it is deleted when you delete the app. Exporting a set writes a .vgset file that you control and share yourself.

Permissions the app asks for

VisualGIG asks for access to files you choose to import, through the standard iOS file picker. It receives only the files you pick. It does not browse your storage, and it does not request microphone, camera, location or contacts access.

Apple Watch

The Watch app talks only to the VisualGIG app on your paired iPhone, using Apple’s device-to-device connection. Nothing about the running set is sent anywhere else.

Network use

Playback is entirely local and works in airplane mode. The app does not stream, sync or phone home.

Information Apple gives us

If you download VisualGIG from the App Store, Apple provides us with aggregate, anonymous sales and usage reports — for example how many downloads happened in a country in a week — and, if you choose to share them, anonymous crash reports. We cannot identify you from either. Apple’s handling of your purchase is covered by Apple’s privacy policy.

If you write to us

Email sent to support reaches an ordinary mailbox, so we see your email address and whatever you put in the message. We use it to answer you, we do not add you to any list, and we delete support correspondence once the matter is closed and no longer useful for reference.

Children

VisualGIG is a tool for performers and operators. It collects no data from anyone, of any age.

Your rights

Rights to access, correct, export or delete personal data — under the GDPR, the LGPD, the CCPA or any comparable law — apply to data a company holds about you. We hold none. Data inside the app is already yours: export it with .vgset files, delete it by deleting the set or the app.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of VisualGIG collects anything, this page will say so before that version ships, and the date at the top will change. We will not start collecting data quietly.
